Lake Austin is home to some of the finest residential areas in the state.  A long and narrow lake spanning 22 miles from the Mansfield Dam to Tom Miller Dam, Lake Austin has the benefit of being a constant level lake.  It holds about 21,000 acre-feet of water and, when it's flowing the right way, pushes enough water through Tom Miller Dam to generate 17 megawatts of electricity. It's also home to the Pennybacker Bridge, which is an Austin icon (although everyone just calls it the "Loop 360 Bridge").  Homebuyers will find a variety of options in the Lake Austin area from townhomes with Lake views, new residential communities, or custom estates with multi-acre lots.
